This Loon, it's mate and their chick were photographed on a high mountain lake
in Canada several years ago. I still remember the haunting call of the Loons
as they called to each other all through the night, and I will always consider
it one of the greatest gifts in my life to have heard in person that sound as
it echoed across the water.
