Newport Back Bay, CA

I've been to this area a few times over the years, but never really just stood there and observed.
As I was there with V, we noticed that this inlet was where all the ducks come in from the bigger
streams(we called it the freeway) for a so called "pit stop/bathroom break/rest area". He noticed
more and more ducks kept gathering here, cleaning themselves, and resting in the grassy wetland.
Even such a small observation would've been missed if you're just trudging through your busy
everyday life. I guess every once in a while we ought to return to the basics of life...
For even though the so called "splendors of the world" is just a few miles away, nothing takes you back like nature does.
