its a shame but at least the roof made it. Love the fall color.

Sad find, but terrific composition and contrasts.

I agree with Pete.
And will add that you always find great compositions and contrasts.

Nice contrast.......nice shot.........nice catch.

Another interesting find, Karen. The bush is so bright and beautiful, but I feel bad for the family that went through this.

Poor people, almost the worst type of disaster a home can suffer.
Cliff02-Oct-2006 17:09
Love the juxtaposition of the flaming red bushes against the burned out building.
Nature always wins out.
Bryan Murahashi02-Oct-2006 04:37
Always sad to see the damage of fire, but great color in this tree.
Guest 02-Oct-2006 04:23
Like the contrast between the beauty of the bush and the sadness of the burnt house.
Sheila02-Oct-2006 02:11
Amazing colours and contrasts here.
The house draws my attention but the red tree holds it.
Char02-Oct-2006 00:48
Would you believe I could actually smell that charred smell, that comes from a burnt house, when I looked at this. Now that's realism. This is an excellent shot though sad. Love the bright red tree.
Breland02-Oct-2006 00:29
Terrific composition Karen.

The bright, lively bush in front of the burnt out hulk. Great contrast.

How sad. And, that truly can be called a burning bush.
royalld01-Oct-2006 19:59
I hope the occupants are okay.
Dramatic shot. The drama increased by the vivid red of the bush.
Guest 01-Oct-2006 19:53
very sad, but a great shot!
s_barbour01-Oct-2006 19:12
How very tragic, on the other hand, that bush is truly brilliant!

Someone's heartbreak...a terrible loss. They had a lovely garden once too.
Guest 01-Oct-2006 12:27
Both house and bush are burned - one by the fire, the other one by the wind, the sun and the cold. The fire has left the house black, while the it is still burning the bush.
A sad image - and unfortunately too common.

It's so sad to see the house but that wonderful red of the tree draws your eye away. I hope no one was living here when this happened.
