Caterpillar (Pyrrharctia isabella)- Woolly Bear - of the adult yellow-brown Isabella Tiger Moth (wingspan 2 inches).
Seen hanging to the right of the woolly bear is the remains of an instar (molting or shedding),
that occurs a number of times as the caterpillar grows in size.
