This probably on of the most important intersections in the city..50th ave. and 50th street. Avenues run east and west.On the right side in the photo {the brick building, which is now the Toronto Dominion Bank} was one of the most important building ever in Wetaskiwin.."The Driard Hotel" Which was run by Curt Smith. I was there went it went down in flames...History fell that day. When you ever see photos of old, the Driard Hotel is in it...I will try to put some photos of it on here in the future. The downtown is nicely done, trees along the main street..Flower baskets hang from all the light poles and traffic lights. In winter the area is done up in Chistmas lights..very beautiful..
