The airport sent Doug and me to a week-long computer course south of Denver because we needed more knowledge to run the DEC VAX/VMS computer that kept the airport's flight schedule data base in order and ran the Flight Information Display System. We arrived a day early and drove down to Pike's Peak, and I terrified him on the drive up because the curving drop offs were scary and I was going too fast. He insisted on driving back and on the first curve my window fell down inside the door. The entire interior and both of us were covered in dirt and dust by the time we got down from the mountain and we had to return the rental car back at Stapleton Airport. We had a great time for a week and learned quite a bit about the system we were running.
