Lagoon Nebula (M8) in Sagittarius

El Cerrito, CA

This image noteworthy because M8 was low in the SW sky in
the middle of SF light dome. Serious light pollution, but
hydrogen alpha saved the day! Couldn't get good guiding, so
went with one-min unguided subs. FWHM i low 2's.
Even using F/4.5 focal reducer on the AP 130 F/6, field not
quite large enough ot fully encompass M8. Next time re-orient
CCD so it contains breadth of M8.

SXV-H9 w/13nm HA,Twenty 1-min subs, unguided,AP 130 F/4.5

other sizes: small medium large original auto
