Christine is right, Jude. The frazzled hair make this imprisoned abstracted person into an expression of vulnerability. A powerful image, combining abstraction, incongruity, and human values.

I love the tones and the silhouette of the head with the "free" hair. There is sign of vulnerability.

I love the hand. I love the hair. I don't see jail though. I see wistful thoughts of desires fulfilled. Daydreams on a quiet afternoon. It's an image of a head but it conveys the spirit of the heart.
