Thanks for the tips.. I'm in Wyoming USA. We have the belted Kingfisher here, quite a different bird. There are a lot of trees, limbs, branches, sticks etc. all along the shallow pond and river he frequents so I'm not able to use the prop to lure him to the blind area but I have got several photos of him, just not close enough yet! I also use the Canon 300mm f/4 with 1.4 TC on a Rebel XT. Your pictures are great!
