No problem! I take a LOT of pride in my LITTLE hometown, that all (haha)! Apology not needed, but definitely accepted! Have fun in Anderson and along the way! Look forward to seeing more pictures of small-town Texas! Thanks again!

Guest,

I hope you’ll consider this my apology. I would have bet a cheeseburger and malt that this photo was made in Round Top, but it appears I would have lost. The Court House is, indeed, in Fayetteville. Note that I have changed the title.

I have no idea how I got mixed up, other than I photographed in both places within a few days. Thanks for calling the mistake to my attention. (PS, I’m heading up to Anderson this week to photograph the Fanthrop Inn State Historic Site. On my way I’ll stop in Round Top and check out the Court House.

I grew up in Fayetteville, Texas -- 15 minutes from Round Top. Although similar to Fayetteville's, Round Top's courthouse does not have a clock on top. In fact, you can see a picture of the courthouse in the above photograph on the city of Fayetteville's website (although I cannot include the hyperlink per rules of this webpage, you can google Fayetteville, TX). Regardless, thank you for posting these amazing pictures. They bring back fond memories and make me yearn for "home!"

Thanks for looking and for your interest. But, I have to tell you that this photo was taken in Round Top, Texas. There may be a Court House that looks exactly like it in Fayetteville, but this one is in Round Top.
