I should have included this in the previous comment: how do you like the XTi? What were you using previously, and what comparisons would you draw?

Lovely stuff, Greg, but on a 1.6 crop camera (which the XTi still is), a 500mm lens is the equivalent of 800mm. Best wishes, Doug.
