A in FCAT testing, F- for environmental sensitivity - Miami Lakes Elementary (K-8 Center) destruction of Mahogany trees

14250 NW 67th Avenue, Miami Lakes

The students are well-drilled for the State of Florida's FCAT tests but someone needs to shake up the administration for being so environmentally deranged to destroy old mature Mahogany trees that are owned by the taxpayers of this county. When was the last time someone saw a burrowing owl or "Ollie Owl" at this school? Most of the former abundant grass areas have been paved over or built over to accommodate even more students who don't even live in this school's attendance zone and "Ollie Owl" has moved to Broward County like a lot of long-time Miami Lakes residents. Perhaps the new school mascot symbol should be changed to a giant SUV since those are now in ample abundance at this school. The kids could be called the "Miami Lakes Navigators" instead of the "Miami Lakes Owls."

You can not possibly be so stupid to think that photographers can be sued for taking photos of public property from public property?

A better school by destroying the trees in a parking lot that could have been avoided by proper planning? It was done so more people could attend it? We only need people in the school's designated attendance zone going there, which is the original Miami Lakes inside the Palmetto Expressway, and not everyone from all over northwest Dade County and from Hialeah. That is what the school was designed for and what was in the master plan for Miami Lakes. I'm sorry to see that it now has rude illiterate punks like you there but I'm glad you posted your ignorance here for all to see.
