Hot, humid, with big storms around. I was looking at shooting some flowers when these two came by "flying united" and then lit on a vine. I got off a couple of frames before they took off again.

1/200s f/4.0 at 100.0mm (35mm equivalent: 862mm) iso200 full exif

Nice catch here! Note the male has a white face patch. That is quick way to tell the male carpenter bees when they are not "engaged" with a female. v
