This was basically my second camp, though a switch back up from here and back into the woods. This was near the start of the climb around Muir Gorge. This creek was my destination this day, though at first I thought there was a campsite just past here, until someone told me how long the gorge was., But with a hammock you can camp just about anywhere there are trees. I did see signs that a trail crew had also camped where I was.

I almost stopped short at really nice camp in oak trees, with a nice stream and a small waterwheel above, partly because another couple was hanging out there (hiding from ranger?) and they weren't clear if they were going to camp there. ,
