A pair of puffins a few feet apart congregate on the rocks at Noup Head in Orkney. On this day the ecxceptionally dull weather has flattened contrast making it possible to record detail in both the brightest and darkest feathers. However it is the use of differential focus that makes this shot appealing to me.
