Omaha Beach May 2006 Exit 1 Easy Red Sector

This was the Landing site of forward elements of the 56th Signal Battalion
teams assigned to furnish communications for V Corps of the First Army on
D-Day, June 6, 1944.Company "A" Battalion Wire teams were assigned to the
First Infantry Division and the Twenty Ninth Infantry Division. My Aerial
Photo taken May 2006 from small plane while touring Beach area. German Gun
Emplacement WN 65 can be seen in foreground.
