This is like the space that I spent my work hours and stood watch in while at sea. It is the Interior Communications Room. The round object labeled Master Gyro Compass was connected to repeaters through out the ship where heading information was used, such as the bridge for ships navigation, combat information centeral for relative positioning to targets being tracked, sonar and fire control. A watch was in place over it while we were at sea and special instructions needed to be followed if the gyro lost power, to safely shut it down. The switchboard with the black, yellow and red switches controlled power to the other circuits controlling information and communication curcuits through out the ship.
