Sunset

Lake Pontchartrain

The neighbors were laughing because I was in a hurry. I could not stop to talk "I'm rushing to the Lake to get the sunset."
"Oh", they said, like I was some sort of strange person. They have no idea what they missed. It is five miles to the Lake but I take the backroads.

Stranded in N. Texas where there are no beautiful sunsets much less water to set over makes me more homesick than ever. You can take the girl out of the country but you sure can't take the country out of the girl!

glad to see you made it, it was worth the rush. I guess everyone gets different things out of life but I feel sad for your neighbours if they are unable to appreciate a sunset. :-)
