This lovely trail starts at Glacier Point (what views) and descends to the valley floor. I started at sunrise to avoid the heat but the light would be all wrong for most shots. This is shortly before you reach Nevada Falls. It was hot enough however as it would hit 100 in the valley this day and Sacramento would break the 11 day record for number of consecutive 100 degree + days before I started my next overnight trip on the 28th. I really just felt like going home!

I wasn't able to do this several years ago because my sister's family was so late for breakfast I could not take the shuttle and they would not give me a ride, I hiked the rim instead and the next day I hiked to Neveda Falls.
