We are heartbroken because she died suddenly two days ago. She was playing ball with my husband and our other dog when she suffered a stroke. She died a few minutes later. She was only nine years old. Karlie was my shadow, with me every moment of the day and at my bedside at night. Her absence weighs heavily on the air around us.
