The great royal flagship and warship Vasa sank in Stockholm harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628.
Topheavy with masts, sails and guns, she sank after a voyage of only 1300 meters.
She was found almost intact in the 1960's, after standing on the seabed for over three centuries .
Salvaged and reconstructed, she now rests in the Vasa Museum in Stockholm . T
