Omega

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending...

Asleep, she clutches this well worn Bible she can no longer read nor comprehend. Death sits beside her but she is not afraid.

Karen, Saw your image today and, once again, remembered this one; I will never forget it. I suspect she is gone now. But she lives on.

I've commented on this before - but I keep coming back to it. This has to be one of my all-time favorites.

As I sit a gaze at this, I imagine you shooting it. Then I recall standing next to my grandmother as a little boy and listening as she read from one as worn as this. Lots of feelings in this image, Karen. My vote!

Karen, missed this when I was on the road. An exceptionally strong image. Timeless. It lies near the point we all will come to. Excellent composition. I note that in the original size you can see window light glinting on the threads in her dress. The bible has notes in it and markers. This seems destined to become a classic image, if it is not already. This is a very hard image (act) to follow! And, of course, V!

Welcome back, Karen!
Superb capture of the hands, the part of the body that does not lie on the age. Yes, she looks closer to the omega. I am glad she find relief in the Bible. I remember my grandfather fighting a deadly desease during 2 years in peace. I won't have that help... Strong image. Voted.
