This was taken in a field near my house. Getting the bumble bee in midflight was sheer luck - but isn't most of photography? I tried for hours to get another similar shot, but with no success. View the picture in original size to see the bee's wings. I took this using the ISO 400 setting on my camera, and everything else at auto. The camera chose 1/700th shutter speed and f-stop.
