I walked out to my garden yesterday, intent on seeing the multitude of 5-6 foot sunflowers all in bloom. What I got was a start when a flurry of feathers burst forth. Goldfinches, orioles, hummingbirds, chickadees, and this youngster, a Northern Cardinal, left with the evidence there on his kisser!
