July 23

This day is Will and Ann's wedding day! I have no picture so far from this day so I'll post an
image from the dress rehearasal! I'll say this was a very long day for all the people that made
this wedding possible, but in the end, the reward was well worth it, and the happiness I see in
Will and Ann's eyes are just priceless!

I was most worried about this wedding weekend, because as the best man, my duty was to help in
every which way the groom needs me to be. From very important job as holding the ring, not losing
the marriage license to keep him hydrated and a million other little things that comes our way,
pretty much if there was a problem that he can't take care of at the moment, I'll need to handle
it right away. During the whole weekend and also Monday, I lost about 10 pounds, from 160 to 151.
But I'm glad to say Will and Ann are married and I was a big part of helping them get there! =)

So how did my speech go?
Keep in mind I was pretty much stressed out about this speech, but I did have a long time to work
on the content of this speech! So if I wasn't goona make Will look good because of my speech
delivery, I was goona make him look good because it came from my heart!
Well, here's my best man speech and my toast that I memroized for the wedding banquet! It went
quite well actually! Thank God! =)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to make a toast to the bride and groom, but first let me make a little speech about the
groom!

Background info-
Now William and I met each other through church of course, brothers in Christ. But it was during
high school that we really got to know each other. Our favorite pastime was tennis! We would go
play tennis in the evening, slug it out against each other on the court until the lights went out,
then after picking up all the balls, we'd sit on the court and just chill under the moon light
and talk about everything underneath the sky. And we were always very understanding of each other.
And thank God that we always had patience for each other's problem. As you can imagine how high
school can be!

Stakeholder-
Because of this we were always each other's stakeholder, meaning whenever the other succeed or
accomplished something we'd receive it like our own and be happy for the other! Like when he got
accepted to Berkly or when he obtained his first job!

So off he went to college up north where he met Ann, and even though we grew apart because of the
distance, whenever he came back, we'd be able to catch up so easily with each other like nothing
had left us.

Honored-
However, when he asked me to be his best man I was most honored! You see, because I've always had
high regards for William, the talents he has, like his piano skills, and the quality that he puts
into his work, I'm always impressed by his work, yet he's so humble and modest about it all.

One more story-
actally to truly express how honored I am, I will share with you one more story, and you'll
finally know how honored I am.

Before William went to college and after he finished his senior year in high school, he wanted to
hold a senior piano recital for his family and friends! I knew he practiced hard for it, so i was
really looking forward to this recital, I'm thinking I'd be sitting in the front row attentively,
enjoying his recital performance and also looking back to the audience to see his family and
friends being marvelled by his play.

So a few days before the recital he asks me for a big favor, he explains to me the recital hall
was inside this college facilty that also holds other classrooms, so that means the doors to the
recital hall will remain closed during the performance! So as he finishes his recital, he takes a
bow, as he's exiting, he needs me to open the door from the outside. Then he further explains that
this door consists of two wooden door panel that comes together to form one big door, but there
was a gap in between and i'd have to peak through the gap to see when he'd be exiting.

So of course I said yes, and agreed to help him out! But then, soon after I realized that there
would be no way for me to stay in the recital hall and watch him play, then go outside to open the
door for him! It meant I'd have to stay outside the whole time the recital was happening!

So during the recital I was outside the whole time, but I found there were 2 sets of these doors
and from the gap of one door, I could see him play, and from the other door I could see the
audience being marvelled by his play! So the duration of the recital, I was literally running back
and forth from these two doors, trying to take in as much as I can from these two gaps. So as he
finishes his recital, he takes a bow, takes his exiting walk, then I finally understood why he had
asked me! First, he was comfortable in asking me, but I soon realized, as I opened the door for him
I was the first to congratulate him!

So now you can imagine how honored I am to be standing in front of everyone here and to be one of
the first to congratulate him and also to open another door for him, the door that leds to the
second half of his life where he'll share the sanctity of marriage created by God with Ann! And
Ann, I know William will do everything possible to make you happy, as he's already shown! I'm so
very happy for the both of you, because you two were joined together by God and are so deserving
of each other! So please join me in rasing your glass as I can make this toast to the bride and
groom! To Will and Ann!
