Marchie Anderson Hughes (Dec. 17, 2004) Marchie Anderson Hughes of Sweetwater, passed away Friday, Dec. 17. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sweetwater. She was 96. Preceded in death by: her parents, Arthur and Janetta Anderson; husband, Cleo “C.H.” Hughes; infant daughter, Mary Jo Hughes; brother, Lester Anderson. Survivors include-daughter and son-in-law-Doris and Ronnie Slack of Harriman; Son and daughter–in-law-Doyle and Linda Hughes of Sweetwater; Grandsons and wives-Chris and Linda Hughes, Chad and Christy Hughes and David Slack; Granddaughter and husband-Dawn and Russell Jenkins; Great-grandchildren-Caleb Hughes and Rebecca Carter; Sisters-Virla Foster of Cleveland; and Ruth Anderson of Niota; Sister-in-law-Bonnie Anderson of Niota; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 8 p.m., Sunday, in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. Larry Orr and Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Interment was 2 p.m., Monday in the Beulah Chapel Church Cemetery.
