Eye-catching. I visited some of your other galleries. You have so many interests and subjects. I'm new at this and your images inspire my imagination.

nice repeating patterns!

Great repetition of (almost) identical patterns. This might actually work well in monochrome, too-- the strong red overpowers the effect a bit, I think.

Love the repetition of the windows. Interesting that even though the same pattern is repeated, each window really has its own character and there is something different about each. I don't care about hidden message, etc, the photo just appeals to me. That's enough. :)

You use a repeating, rhythmic pattern here, Sue, that carries the eye through the image and expresses a numbing sense of conformity. Only the two air conditioners break the beat here. It is an expressive image, telling a story -- all of those windows and awnings, and not a single person in sight. Your use of an almost musical beat here takes a similar approach to one I used on some very dead fish up in Siberia. You can see it athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/20831882

Composition is not about rules -- it is about organizing an image to tell a story. And that is what you do here, and you do it very well. Keep it up, Sue.

I agree. The symmetry is what gets my eye right away. Vote.

Great symmetry. The bottom right window adds a nice blue tone which balances the composition.
