The last of the three largest pyramids is clearly smaller than either Khufu's or Khephren's pyramids. Rumor says that Menkaure died before the pyramid was completed and the workers had to rush to complete the job. The pyramid is also not on the same line as the two larger pyramids. This could be a mistake or it could have been done on purpose. We will never know for sure.
