(I'm commenting in reverse today, so I saw your other pics first!) Another great use of blown out highlights outside...it helps to keep the atmosphere of the shot in its period, now allowing modern intrusion outside the door to change the timeline, and adding to the flashback-like state of the shot.

Another wonderful entry for the "Something Old" challenge! I like the way those old barrels and boxes lead in diagonally from the left, with the stairs and the chair acting as stoppers. What perfect composition (I'll bet you put that chair in the doorway, very clever). I like the touch of green from those old Mason jars too (I've got a bunch of them). Simply outstanding photography!
