Got it as a used camera with the battery holder, since the original owner did open the box!
The price was ¥200,000 for a new one without a battery holder, but paid only 70,000 Yen.
It was about $580 @1999, since $1 was 120 Yen at that time. ($ is US dollar in our HP.)
The above price included that battery holder which was 18,000 Yen (~$150).
