14 July - WINNER!

My favourite pic of the sports day races? My son leaping through the air
as he heads to the finish line and WINS the race for yellow team!!
Background too cluttered? Don't care - just look at the awe on those faces
behind him ;o)

And my one "arty" photo of the day:

Canon EOS 350D ,Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
1/500s f/9.0 at 170.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

That is not clutter in the background. That is storytelling.

you need the b/g, without it you would'nt have the atmosphere, great catch nicky!!

Great capture, NIcky!

It's so good to see kids competing in a 'sportsmanlike' fashion. When ours were at Primary the school operated a policy of 'non-competitive' activities - how does this prepare them for the real world? Like the arty shot, too! Chris

Went to my 1st sports day yesterday for my eldest daughter. Always been 'busy' at work before, never had the 'time'. What have I missed, so good to see all the kids enjoying and competing together. This is great, all the encouragement in the background!
