American White Pelican Pelecanus Erythrorhynchos

WY, Yellowstone National Park

Two of these majestic birds were feeding on a small lake near Gull
Point when they were approached too closely by hikers from behind. A
very impressive take-off was their response.

Excellent! Crisp as can be and great timeing. I have also tried to shoot these pelicans in Yellowstone (not quite with the equipment you have) and it isn't the easiest thing to do.
