Anomalopus leuckartii

Coolatai NSW Australia

These lizards lack the aesthetic charms (and most of the fingers and toes) found amongst many other members of the skink family,
so to hide their embarrassment they spend most of their lives well hidden beneath leaf litter, logs, and in the case of this individual,
sheets of tin. Sheets of tin provide excellent cover for many reptile species, especially when so much ground cover is removed for the
purposes of firewood collection. If you have sheets of tin in your paddocks, leave them there, or haul them close to a tree where
they will benefit such creatures.
