While exploring the basin below Delicate Arch I discoverd these water
bottles. My first reation was to curse the hikers who, when visiting Delicate Arch, thoughtlessly tossed their water bottles down into the basin. But then I realized that gravity might have been the culprit in most cases. The terrain around the arch is down-sloping, so bottles that are placed on the rock can easily fall over and roll down into the basin.
