WindowReflections*
by Daniel Bollag

Florence, Italy

There are unwanted reflections.
But this was shot through a double window of the Uffizi museum
—with the sheets some five to ten inches apart—that one could not open.
I did not like the results of any correction-intent of mine with the Healing Brush,
so we (you and I) will have to live with those reflections...

Agreed, of course! (Hadn’t in mind anything else when stating my very personal feelings about it.) — db.

Daniel,
I know how you feel and I understand completely, really I do. I didn't think you would consider replacing the sky in this image. However, most of the time when I offer a post processing solution, it's not really just for the original posters benefit. Others can benefit from our images and comments as well. We all feel differently about post processing (and most everything else) so please keep in mind that any comments your images receive might be helpful to someone else who feels differently than you do. I've always felt that our challenges are all about fun, sharing, and learning. I've learned a lot here and I can only hope that some of my comments and suggestions will be beneficial to others.

You know, bottles, I admire your abilities with postprocessing software; I really do! But while I’d consider substituting a different sky cheating (don’t forgot I am a journalist), I’d accept some healing brush action on *this* sky (because the reflections weren’t there (in the sky). But I failed with my PS attempts; and I can’t ask you now to give it a try: otherwise this image wouldn’t be «on topic» any longer... ;-) — db.

Wow Daniel, not bad at all considering it was taken through that window. I like the linear perspective in this shot and all the lines, angles and curves I see. About all that can be done with the sky now is to replace it completely. It looks like it had been raining (or at least a gloomy day), so the choice of a replacement sky should of course be in accord with that.

Nice composition - I like the texture from the noise! I like the shot despite the reflections.
