Is this a Rocky Mountain Stream?

Or is this a macro of a knot on a spruce with sap running out?

I like this shot because, at the macro level, it does resemble a slightly out of focus stream. (I guess it is technically a SAP Stream, not to get mixed up with a means of integration to the ever-popular ERP Package).
