hmmmm...everything RK mentioned is exactly what I like about this image. The softness is really lovely, IMHO, and serves the overall image well. The colors are muted, yet alive. The background has sufficient detail to establish enviroment, but is soft enough to allow the primary subject to carry center stage. The flower stem is a nicely creative interpretation of the topic. I love the piece. -Michael

The softness is the fault of the scan. I did the scan using a Nikon LS-1000, which has trouble with Kodachrome because of the extra layer it has. -- Victor

Bit too soft for a macro and the background is way too distracting. - RK
