PBase never sleeps

The picture's title is meant figuratively, of course. All PBase support personnel eat,
sleep, work, and surf, but their level of dedication is unmatched in the photo-hosting
world. A key element of the PBase service philosophy is to cater to its subscribers at
all hours of the day, every day of the year. This philosophy guarantees that surfers
and uploaders will be inconvenienced as little as humanly possible.

To illustrate: the picture shows not one, but TWO PBase service vehicles (carrying
technicians and medical specialists) responding to a Class 1 User Emergency. In the
dead of night---a busy time for PBase's Worldwide Support Division---PBase employees
are rushing to a private residence to treat a surfer who went catatonic from reviewing
too many pages of Recently Updated Galleries. The medical specialists will treat
the victim and the networking guys will ensure that the victim's broadband
connection has not been overloaded by the strain.

This story has a happy ending: the victim was revived, his connection was
scrubbed, and he resumed surfing the next day with no after effects. Even
though the victim was only a surfer, all services were covered by PBase
in the interest of good will: one day he might subscribe.

Yes, Steve, he did. The EMT who treated the surfer reported that as he (the surfer) was coming out of his catatonic state he kept muttering something about "Night after lonely night, we meet in dreams." I guess the road to consciousness is riddled with potholes of delusion. And you won’t believe what was found on the surfer’s computer monitor: an image of Bobby Vinton performing at Club Listorama. Sadly, this is type of episode is seen all too often by PBase Emergency Service employees.

Did he get the R.U.G. pulled out from under him?

PBase covered whatever cost was not borne by the victim's own insurance. Fear not: your cost will not increase as a result.

Did the victim have the optional Pbase Medical Insurance? I hope my premium doesn't increase due to fraudulent Pbase claims!
