227 _JFF6680 Banded Black Backed Gull and Skate

Sandy Point State Beach, Plum Island, Massachusetts

Black Backed Gull with leg bands and skate. I watched this gull (larger than any other black backs nearby) pull 4 skates out of the water alive and kicking. The bird would then eat the innards and leave the rest for his buddies.
