This fails to express your intentions because of irrelevant information and distraction. I have cropped it for you, and cloned out a guy in the background and sent it to you in an email -- and I think you will see how limiting the context to just flowers and the subject to just the harried woman, makes the point. If you had moved closer to the woman you could have expressed her feelings even more effectively. If you look at my own flower market shot from Burma athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/40174227 you will see that, while my point is different, I make subjects larger, use fewer flowers but make them larger. The task is still overwhelming but the simplification and emphasis works to stress the subjects feelings, while in your image, there is no stress or emphasis on the subject.
As you become more ruthless in your compositions, getting in less and saying more, your images will improve by leaps and bounds. (Put that in your Philter, Jenene!)
