Heliconius charithonia
This zebra heliconian was one of those fabulous newly encountered species for us when got to south Texas. Light and elegant in their bouyant flight and beautifully patterned, this was the first "oh, wow" species of the trip, and seemed a fitting butterfly to end the gallery with. Thanks for stopping by to share these images of our trip with us.
