A replica of the Portland sign when the theater openned in 1928. In 1930 it was changed to Paramount. In the 1980s they tried to take the sign down to change it back to Portland, but misjudged the weight and it and the crane toppled into the street, so now they have a replica.
Now home of the Symphony, but tonite Hall (Haul?) and Oats are playing. Next door is the New Theater building with lighted glass staircases, both part of the Portland Center for Performing Arts (PCPA)
