Today was pure hecticness.
Work was busy...but that is how it should be, I guess. I did manage to escape just a bit early and headed up to meet Paul, Greg, and Viera.
The drive up to Rumney was a trek but was made much more pleasant by the generosity of my travel companions. I have been running about so much that I didn't get a chance to pick up snacks. But, as you can see, my friends provided the necessities of long road travel...including an IPod filled with classic 80's tunes. They even forgave me when I fell asleep at my post as navigator (thank you, Paul, for not falling asleep right next to me). Because of my miscalculated slumber, our trip took an extra 45 minutes and dozens of miles. In the end, we made it up here, intact, and ready for a weekend of much welcomed climbing. That is, after my buddy, Matt, lent me some climbing shoes to replace mine which are still sitting home...the generosity of friends can't be underestimated and should never be underappreciated.
