When Suffering is Relentless . . .

I'm haunted by the memories this portrait pushes up ~
sense-filled memories of my own experience
with cancer, chemo therapy, and radiation.
My mother's expression in this picture maps
the memory of my suffering and makes me identify
deeply with her current struggle with pain.

This made me cry. Since I'm a survivor of cancer as well, I understand as well what she is going through as well as the suffering you went through. My prayers are always with you and your Mom! I see the love you have for her in the images you post. May God Bless you both!

Truly, a capture of human suffering. This photo makes me so sad that anyone has to go through this. And it makes my complaints seem like whining. Like a good kick in the butt. Thank you for sharing this.

You are certainly on a roller coaster journey with your Mum. Kathy is right, your being there with her is the best thing you can do.

I find myself speachless; you watching your dear mother in so much pain, with having your own acknowledgement of what she is going through. You, being there with her is all you can do. ~God's Blessings~
