Iris

Just monkeying around with morning light here. Not quite what I was hoping for but more to follow. The confines and narrowness of my garden make optimal compositions very frustrating.

Dont monkey about too much. You will just make me more jealous. I agree with Fongs suggestion for portrait composition but what a beautifully sharp shot. Nice one!

Thanks Fong. You may be correct as I was going back and forth between long and short shots. I'll keep my eye on the settings better. The best thing is that I actually felt like taking pictures this morning...lol!

Mmm...weekend holiday coming up. Stay tuned early next week!

Have you tried taking this in portrait mode, Andy? Then the tips of the upper and lower petals would have been included in the composition. The morning light does bring out the textures pretty well though.
