On the way back from our weekend getaway on Sunday, Gerie and I stopped at a small picnic area
on the Gulf at the little town of Carrabelle. This little town was devastated in the series of
hurricanes last year, and though once touted as the “Pearl of the Gulf”, I fear it will be years
for all the restorations to be complete. Many fine and famous eateries and restaurants on the
Gulf were destroyed outright, and the ravages of the storms are apparent wherever one looks.
This image of the anonymous lovely young woman wading in the calm Gulf waters was taken with
my new L 70-200mm zoom and was radically cropped, but the sharpness and detail are still incredible!
