Today was quite eventful in such meaningful ways.
There was much opportunity to spend time with friends, breaking bread and sharing beautiful sights.
The Presby Iris Gardens was a nexus for us today. It was an opportunity to spend some time in a unique setting with friends who I am fortunate enough to see often. The irises bloom for only a very short period of time each year.
However, I must admit that one of the hightlights for me was a chance to see the Hudocks. I haven't seen little Lily for some time now...and during this time, Lily has done some wonderful things. I heard from a "little bird" that Lily had taken her first steps and I so very much wanted to see her show off her new talents. And, Lily did not disappoint. The steps were a little shaky since the ground was uneven. But, there was one, then two steps. Lily raised her hands in triumph only to realize that she is still a neophyte in this endeavor. No doubt she will master the skill of walking as well as countless more. But, for now, she quickly found comfort in the arms of her mom...and all was right in the World again.
