20060521 / come back

Century Theaters / Downtown San Mateo, CA

If I keep holding out will the light shine through?
Under this broken roof it's only rain that I feel.
I've been wishing out the days.
Come back.

I have been planning out all that I'd say to you.
Since you slipped away, know that I still remain true.
I've been wishing out the days

Please say that if you hadn't of gone now
I wouldn't have lost you another way.
From wherever you are, come back.

And these days, they linger on.
And in the night, I'm waiting on
The real possibility I may meet you in my dreams.
I go to sleep.

If I don't fall apart will the memory stay clear?
So you had to go.
And I had to remain here.

But the strangest thing to date.
So far away and yet you feel so close.
And I'm not gonna question it any other way.

There must be an open door for you to come back.

Bienvenue mon cher.

this is absolutely amazing - the expression in the main face is so powerful and intense. the mottled effect on the skin and the raindrops in front suggest such loss and despair. the second face totally makes it. v.

This is a great angle and image Chris. I absolutely love the words to this image, they are so fitting. I like her expression in her eyes, job well done.

After reading the comments, I had to spend some time finding the other face. I guess my contrast is set too high on my monitor or something but there it is.....very very subtle. Is the actress Audrey Tatou? Which movie? (DaVinci?). I like the droplets and the graininess of the subject. Well seen.
