Went to the Blenheim Triathlon today. Took loads of pictures - deleted too many of
the panned cycle shots - still alot to learn there.
Some of the best pictures were at the finishing line. Many of the 3,000 triathletes
were running for charity - alot for Leukaemia research.
I was struck by the release of emotion as the triathletes crossed the line.
It wasn't just pride and relief and completing the swim, cycle ride and running.
It must have meant alot to these women who had maybe lost loved ones, and felt they
had done it for their lost friends and relatives.
Many competitors were greeted by well-wishers, but this lady simply went off
on her own and was lost in her private thoughts.
(I would normally have cloned out the yellow area, but these balloons were promoting
the Leukaemia research charity.)
