Director of the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park, Paul Soniat, performed in concert at a garden clubs' fundraiser to restore the antique carousel in the Park. Mr. Soniat writes his own music with his theme song being "So Glad I Was Born Here in New Orleans."
The carousel is one of only seven of its kind left in the United States and features handcarved wooden horses with real manes and tails.
